Agate, a variety of chalcedony, is known for its banded patterns and colours, including grey, white, blue, and earthy tones. Carnelian, a reddish-orange variety, is also popular. Found in Brazil, India, the USA, Iran, and Yemen, these stones are valued for jewellery and carvings and have been used for thousands of years.
